Absolutely! Film photography is all about embracing imperfection and spontaneity. Here are some tips to get the best results from your film camera:

  • Always use the built-in flash to illuminate your subject and capture sharp images, especially in low-light conditions.
  • Opt for high-resolution developing and scanning at your local film lab to ensure your photos look their best.
  • Keep your film rolls away from direct sunlight and avoid opening your camera if there’s still unshot film inside, as light exposure can damage your photos.

Step One: Open The Latch

Open the camera backdoor by firmly pushing down the latch on the side of the camera. The backdoor of the camera should softly open.

Step Two: Open the Back

Open the backdoor of the camera. Here you will see film canister as well as the film take-up spool.

Step Three: Lift the knob

Lift and pull the film rewind knob up. This will ensure that your roll of 35mm film will fit inside.

Step Four: Load the film

Insert the new roll of film into the film canister so that the film leader tab is at the bottom.

Step five: Hook On spool

Use on hand to hold down the new roll of film and the other hand to pull the film leader tab to the film take-up spool. Hook one of the bottom film sprocket holes onto one the notches. Ensure that the new film roll remains flush inside the film canister.

Step Six: Push & turn

Push the film rewind knob down in the place, slightly turn the film advance wheel to the right while ensuring that the film is flat against the center of the camera.

Step Seven: Close the door

When the film has wrapped around the spool once, close the backdoor. If the film is curving, carefully unattach the film leader tab from the spool and follow steps 2 and 3 again.

Step Eight: Advance Film

Continue to advance the film by turning the advance wheel until it stops, then press the shutter button. Repeat the is process until the film count shows the number "1". The camera is now read to take photos.

Step Nine: Shoot & repeat

Once the film counter shows the number "1" do not open the backdoor anymore, it will be expoed to light and possibly be ruined. Now you're ready to capture memories on film! Happy shooting, join the film movement!
